RAAC Casts Shadow over 950 Families

Dangerous crack in ceiling due to RAAC

Fair Treatment for Angus & Dundee Residents on RAAC

Dundee has the highest concentration of RAAC-affected homes in Scotland. Every single day families of nearly 950 properties are living with fear, financial stress, and uncertainty. In Aberdeen, the Scottish Government created flexibility through the Affordable Housing Supply Programme, allowing the council to offer residents a clear route forward. It was the right thing to do and families there now have a way to move on with their lives. But Dundee and Angus have been left behind. Residents here have been given committees, pilot schemes, and endless assessments. But no clarity, no protection, and certainly no fairness. People in Whitfield, Douglas, Stobswell, Kirkton, the East End and Monifieth are living in homes they cannot sell or fix. Council tenants remain under RAAC roofs with no long term plans. Homeowners are facing financial ruin due to a structural material they did not choose and cannot control. This is not sustainable. This is not just. And this is not what fairness looks like. We the undersigned demand action by the Scottish Government to support those impacted by RAAC.
